Transition Services offered by Ohio

• Ohio, through their Ohio Transition Support Partnership (OTSP) offers services that help your loved one obtain a part time or full time job.
• The process works as follows:
  1. Intake Meeting - which is where we fill out the paperwork. 
  2. Eligibility Process - Your loved needs to have a desire to work, proof of a disability (an IEP will suffice), and be registered.
  3. Planning Meeting - Where the strengths of your loved one are assessed.
  4. OTSP provides the appropriate services for you loved one for several months as needed.
  5. Closure - At six months your loved one is weened off of the services.
• The services the OTSP provides is as follows:
  • Transportation to a job until your loved one is able to pay for their own transportation
  • Help to obtain a drivers license
  • Interview Skills and Preparation
  • Help finding a job
  • Attend the interview
  • Job Coaching
