Transition Services offered by Ohio
- Ohio, through their Ohio Transition Support Partnership (OTSP) offers services that help your loved one obtain a part time or full time job.
- The process works as follows:
- Intake Meeting - which is where we fill out the paperwork.
- Eligibility Process - Your loved needs to have a desire to work, proof of a disability (an IEP will suffice), and be registered.
- Planning Meeting - Where the strengths of your loved one are assessed.
- OTSP provides the appropriate services for you loved one for several months as needed.
- Closure - At six months your loved one is weened off of the services.
- The services the OTSP provides is as follows:
- Transportation to a job until your loved one is able to pay for their own transportation
- Help to obtain a drivers license
- Interview Skills and Preparation
- Help finding a job
- Attend the interview
- Job Coaching
