Mike's communication skills has been progressing very well! He's attended 4 years of high school and he's now doing a home schooling. He also has a speech therapist come to the house once a week. All of this is funded through Jon Peterson funding from the State of Ohio.

Older information:
Mike had 6 sets of ear tubes. Prior to each set of tubes being installed is was discovered that Mike had an ear infection. Mike's parents believe the infections were what caused Mike's current high decibel hearing loss.

Taking Mike's hearing loss into consideration, he has fairly good communication skills. Although Mike's speech is sometimes difficult to understand, Mike is not bashful to start a conversation and can usually follow along in shorter conversations. We attribute this success to Mike being in inclusive schooling since kindergarten.
